What is in it. Appliances, a dead chest freezer, a treadmill, engine parts, old chipboard shelving that has to be dismantled, construction debris from a half-finished project — all of that is slower and bulkier than the same volume of boxes.
Anything needing separate disposal. Paint, solvents, fuel, propane cylinders and garden chemicals cannot ride in a general load.
Whether you want it fitted out afterwards. Shelving, overhead racks and wall systems are carpentry on top of the clear-out, priced on materials and time. It is also the only part that stops the garage refilling.

Access matters more in the older neighborhoods than people expect. A detached garage down a narrow shared drive, or one you can only reach through a back gate, means more carrying and a longer day than one we can back a trailer up to.

We take: household junk and boxes, furniture, mattresses, appliances, bikes and sports equipment, lawn and garden equipment, old shelving and cabinets, carpet and underlay, construction debris, scrap timber, yard waste and electronics.

We cannot take in a general load: liquid paint and solvents, motor oil, petrol and other fuels, propane cylinders, pesticides and pool chemicals, car batteries, ammunition, and anything that may contain asbestos. We separate them, say which is which, and point you at the right household hazardous waste collection. Tires and mattresses are generally accepted but carry a per-item charge at the transfer station.
